FINALLY GOT GOING 22-5-2026
The Traffic Department would not allow me to register the bike in my name. But applied for a special hearing as I am registered as living in Alberite and am in the taxi register ,have a NIE number, so will wait and see.
DAY ONE 22 MAY 2026. 527kms
On Friday I left at 7am and headed for Rogales and route N260. Got to Rogales and ran out of fuel after filling up the tank which holds 19 litres and should have a range of 400 kms. At 240kms it was bone dry and fortunately I was in a small village and some locals made a call and next minute I had fuel again.
Stayed on the N260 all the way today to La Pablo de Segur where I got a relief nice room in town. Had a bit to eat a and a few cold beers in the village square.

DAY 2 23-5-26. 337kms.
Got off to an early start and the roads were empty and the mornings are a little chilly in the mountains. Basically am riding along the Pyrenees maybe half way up , really beautiful scenery and fun roads on a bike, in a car with your wife, not so much. Being a Saturday there were a lot of bikers on the road especially on these twisty mountain roads also tons of cyclists.
Stopped and had a bite to eat in some town and then headed to a friend's house in Boule d Amont, he is not here at the moment. Juan is from Argentina and his wife is French and he lives in Gabon and I met him when we loaded our bikes for Angila in Cabinda. He was in Cape Town a few months ago and he called me up and I took them on a tour of the Peninsula on our bikes.
At the border of Spain and France, looking into France 🇫🇷
Following 3 photos are in the village, but there are no stores or bar or restaurants, maybe twenty dwellings alongside the road.
