ENTREVAUX DAY 3. 536 kms. 24-5-26
Got up early and turned off the water and electricity and secured all the windows and was on the road at 7am. Was mostly a commute on the toll road so you get places quickly cruising at 120 kmph.
Then got to the base of the mountains and proceeded to Castelline and then onto Entrevaux which is a tiny village with a beautiful fortress. There are no hotels or places to stay, so I asked at the tourist bureau and lucked out and got a room above the Post Office where climbers normally stay, not advertised anywhere. Had the place to myself, has 3 bedrooms , large kitchen and huge living room and a nice bathroom. (€35)
Went down to a small bar and chugged a beer and then went to eat in the fortress at Creperie Cluchevalier, best meal ever of meat, cheese and salad and a rum and raisin ice cream on a crepe.
